Hello everyone!

We are gearing up for our 6th annual homeless winter sleepout, taking place on Saturday, February 28th, at Colonial Plaza on 45 East Main Street (across from Dunkin Donuts)

Once again, myself, along with a group of volunteers, will spend the entire day outdoors on Saturday and then sleep outside overnight to raise both funds and awareness for the challenges faced by individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

This year's event has special meaning as our focus will be on homelessness prevention by supporting those in need right here in our own community.

I am proud to announce that the beneficiary of this year's event is the Westborough Food Pantry. The Pantry provides food to Westborough residents in need, and partners with other charitable organizations to provide other additional assistance whenever possible. I recently had the opportunity to tour their operation at the Forbes Community Building and was truly impressed and encouraged by the vital work they are doing.

The rising cost of food and other necessities—combined with recent cutbacks—has become a catalyst for homelessness for far too many, especially families. Imagine having to choose between putting food on the table and keeping a roof over your head. It's a heartbreaking decision, and one we are working to help prevent.

Your donations make it possible for the Westborough Food Pantry to continue supporting those in need. Any contribution you can make at this time would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

John Bogaert

Event Information- Four participants will spend all day outside in the parking lot, collecting donations and spreading awareness, at 45 Colonial Plaza on East Main St., Saturday February 28th. Then we will sleep outside in the parking lot overnight to raise money and awareness for those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

Thanks to the students in the Help the Homeless Club at Westborough High School, who will once again be assisting with and promoting the event!

No one should be left out in the cold.

THANK YOU!

Thank you to our donors. Your generosity has been overwhelming. It has already, and will continue to really make a difference to many in need.

Thank you to all of the individuals and companies who have been donating their time and materials to A Night In The Cold since 2021.

Thank you for your generous support of this cause.
